  We just returned home after 4 days at the Highlands Inn and absolutely loved it. It's OLD so if you're expecting all the "modern up to date furniture and decor" don't go, but if you love nostalgia this is a fun place to stay. The staff was absolutely wonderful and did EVERYTHING they could to make sure we were comfortable while there. They served complimentary breakfast each morning but you could also order from their menu. I'm really not sure why they just have 3 stars because most of the reviews are really good. I was a little worried about staying there because of the rating but they will be our place of choice in the future. Highlands is so much fun, activities going on in the town square all the time and lots of places to shop along with the most amazing restaurants we've ever been too, not to mention our hometown had 100 degree temps while the highs were in the mid 70's in Highlands and cool enough in the evenings for a sweater!
